Global Kids​港講廣 - 香港人講廣東話 We speak Cantonese


我哋嘅團隊由全球包括香港、英國、加拿大同澳洲教育界人士組成,致力用廣東話教授2歲以上嘅海外細蚊仔/細佬哥以及成年人士學中文,傳揚香港精神、中華文化與當地文化知識與對照。課程包括廣東話中文班、GCSE中文班及Cantonese for Beginners班。我哋個個身懷絕技,唔單止有多年教學經驗,更加擅於運用遊戲、桌遊、電影、音樂等有趣手法,配合海外語言環境下聽、說、讀等特定嘅需要,特別強調提升學生們喺英語環境下學習中文嘅動機。

We are a group of educators from Hong Kong, UK, Canada and Australia. Greatly interested in promoting Cantonese as our heritage language, we teach kids from age 2 to adults with the emphasis on Hong Kong culture, values and belief of ethnic Chinese as well as cultural difference awareness between the East and the West. We use games, drama and boardgames to teach our regular Cantonese classes, GCSE Chinese classes and Cantonese for Beginners classes. We are particularly strong in motivation: to learn Chinese in an non-Chinese language environment.

香港大學心理學系畢業、包括香港中文大學等多間大學之實習督導

 

芝士波哥哥無做到心理學家,反而走去誤人子弟20年,
年紀唔細但仍希望人哋叫佢做哥哥。屢獲邀請擔任講員和接受傳媒訪問。

自覺是世界公民,曾經喺國際學校讀過幾年書開過吓眼界並對創新教育有啲見解。

Cheese Ball Bro is the Founder and Chief All-Rounder. A proud Psychology graduate from The University of Hong Kong, he has also served as a practicum supervisor at several top universities, including The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Rather than following the traditional route to become a psychologist, Cheese Ball Bro has spent the past 20 years “misguiding” students in his own unique, inspiring way. Though he’s not so young anymore, he still loves being called “Brother.”

He’s often invited to share his insights as a speaker and by the media. With several years spent studying in international schools, Cheese Ball Bro sees himself as a true global citizen—one whose broad perspective and passion for innovative education continue to inspire those around him.

A registered social worker in Hong Kong for over 20 years, also qualified as an early childhood educator and childcare worker.

She has extensive experience in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Mainland China, providing counseling and group therapy for preschool children to adults, parent education, school-based support for children with special needs, training and supervision for early childhood educators in tertiary institutions, community education, and consultation/training for employees in universities, government departments, and enterprises.

She has been living in the UK for nearly two years, and is a mother of two children aged 8 and 10.

She specializes in teaching with picture books, music sharing, small crafts, creative hands-on activities, and even simple food-making, helping children learn different character forms, writing styles, and general knowledge.

Ms Cathie

居英老師,有二十多年教學經驗,曾於香港擔任學生支援組統籌、藝文發展主任(負責校內閱讀課程及多元化表演)、香港大學啟導老師等。現主要以廣東話或英文,教居英港童或成人中文及廣東話班,擅長用不同學習平台、繪本及小手工教學。每班設專屬學習平台,每堂上載工作紙、繪本連結及網上學習遊戲讓學生學習。


A teacher based in the UK with over 20 years of teaching experience. She previously worked in Hong Kong as a coordinator of the Student Support Team, Arts and Culture Development Officer (responsible for school reading programmes and diverse performances), and as a mentor at The University of Hong Kong.
Currently, she mainly teaches Cantonese or Chinese classes to Hong Kong children and adults living in the UK. She specializes in using different learning platforms, picture books, and small crafts in teaching. Each class has a dedicated learning platform, with worksheets, picture book links, and online learning games uploaded after each lesson for students to continue learning.

前大學日&韓語講師,好鍾意學同埋教語言。堅信即使世界有AI ,學語言依然有佢既價值。

現為移英港人,繼續網教語言之餘,亦視傳承中文同埋廣東話為己任。目標係培養小朋友對中文、廣東話同埋香港文化既興趣,令佢地日常唔會討厭用中文。

Former university lecturer in Japanese and Korean, with a great passion for learning and teaching languages. She firmly believes that even in a world with AI, language learning still holds great value. Now living in the UK, she continues teaching languages online while also seeing it as her mission to pass on Chinese and Cantonese. Her goal is to cultivate children’s interest in Chinese, Cantonese, and Hong Kong culture, so they won’t dislike using Chinese in daily life.

移英港人,前香港小學中文教師,有超過20年教學經驗。

現為網上中文教師,教授香港學生中文閱讀及寫作技巧;另為一所中文學校廣東話中文班老師,教授香港人/英國本地兒童及成人廣東話中文及GCSE課程。


I’m Ms. Carmen. I was a primary school teacher in Hong Kong for over 20 years before moving to the UK in 2022. Now, I tutor students from both Hong Kong and the UK online, offering Chinese and Cantonese lessons. My students include children and adults born in the UK, as well as primary and secondary school students in Hong Kong. I teach Cantonese, Mandarin GCSE, foundation-level Cantonese, and writing classes.

Ms Rebecca

中大中文系畢業,曾任職中學中文科補底及資優班導師及中、英文科私補老師;離港前亦一直從事幼兒至成人芭蕾舞教育工作。

過去幾年先後旅居台灣及比利時,現身處英國,希望為承傳和推廣繁體中文同廣東話出一分力。主張配合學生興趣教學,拒絕填鴨,務求課堂充實且有趣!


Graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a degree in Chinese Language and Literature. She has experience as a secondary school Chinese remedial and gifted class tutor, as well as a private tutor in both Chinese and English. Before moving abroad, she was also engaged in ballet education for students ranging from young children to adults. Over the past few years, she has lived in Taiwan and Belgium and is now in the UK, committed to preserving and promoting Traditional Chinese and Cantonese. She emphasizes interest-based teaching and rejects rote learning, ensuring lessons are both meaningful and engaging.

Dr. Hugo

香港中文大學中文系哲學博士、哲學碩士,專研古代文獻;畢業於同系榮譽學士課程(一級榮譽),並於高考中國語文及文化科取得 A 級成績。多年從事語文與文化研究,具備紮實的學術訓練與文獻處理能力,能將深奧的知識轉化為學生易於吸收的內容。

 

曾於台灣及比利時擔任研究員,具備國際化的語文教育視野,能吸收並融合不同地區的教學理念與方法。多年在多間大專院校教授中國語文相關課程,熟悉不同年齡與背景學生的學習需求。

 

擅長課程設計與教學創新,近年設計超過 15 個以生活化及文化推廣為主題的線上課程,將語文與文化結合,並配合遊戲化活動、角色扮演、故事創作等多元化練習,令寫作訓練生動有趣,同時培養學生的表達與思維能力。具備 KABI 韓國桌遊業協會認證的韓國桌遊培訓師資格,將桌遊元素融入課堂,增強互動與參與度。

 

重視與學生的互動與理解,善於觀察並分析學生的學習狀況,針對性地解答疑問,幫助學生在不同階段有效提升語文能力。

⁠PhD and MPhil in Chinese Language and Literature from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, specializing in ancient texts. He graduated with First Class Honours in the same department and achieved Grade A in the A-level Chinese Language and Culture subject. With years of research experience in language and culture, he is skilled at transforming complex knowledge into content that students can easily understand.

He has worked as a researcher in Taiwan and Belgium, bringing an international perspective to language education and integrating diverse teaching approaches. With years of teaching experience at various universities, he understands the needs of students from different ages and backgrounds.

He excels in curriculum design and innovative teaching. In recent years, he has designed over 15 online courses focused on everyday life and cultural promotion, combining language with cultural elements. He incorporates gamified activities, role-playing, and storytelling into lessons, making writing training engaging while nurturing expression and critical thinking. He also holds certification as a Korean board game trainer from the Korea Association of Boardgame Industry (KABI), integrating board game elements into classes to enhance interaction and participation.

He values interaction and understanding with students, is observant of their learning progress, and provides targeted support to help them improve their language ability effectively at different stages.

She has extensive experience teaching senior secondary public exam courses, strengthening both language ability and exam techniques. Beyond language teaching, she also served as the Discipline Mistress, overseeing student development and promoting well-rounded growth.

With more than three years of online Chinese teaching experience, she has taught students including Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) candidates and children of Hongkongers living overseas. 現居英國將近1年,擁有四年教學經驗,曾於小學、語言教育中心、補習社教授廣東話、日語及英語。亦有私人補習嘅經驗。無論係海外學生抑或本地學生都有接觸過。亦了解不同年齡嘅學生嘅需要,對於網上授課或者實體授課模式都相當熟悉。擅長以繪畫、做手工、音樂、以及講故事嘅形式教導學生


Currently living in the UK for nearly one year, with four years of teaching experience. She has taught Cantonese, Japanese, and English in primary schools, language education centres, and tutorial centres, and also has private tutoring experience. She has worked with both overseas and local students and understands the needs of learners of different ages. She is familiar with both online and face-to-face teaching, and specializes in teaching through drawing, crafts, music, and storytelling.

創辦團隊手記

​互動性

本課程採用互動學習模式,我們重視孩子的學習動機,故課堂多以遊戲模式進行,同時以大量問答促進交流,使課堂不只囿於傳統課堂的抄寫與背誦,反而更富趣味及娛樂。這樣既能藉此提高孩子在英語環境下學習中文的動力,更能加強訓練孩子的粵語溝通技巧。

​系統化

本課程按孩子的中文程度分成初級、中級、高級進行,教材參考英國國家課程大綱第二、三階段指定外語學習課程而制定。

 

本課程每節課堂包含文化知識、生活常識、字詞認讀及語文知識等內容,溫故而知新。課堂以不同的題材作切入點,培養並強化孩子的粵語聽說能力以及其中文水平。

生活化

本課程取材自日常生活,冀能提高孩子的觀察力,其內容包括香港生活特色與居住地文化比較,例如:香港和倫敦的端午節(原來兩地也有爬龍舟啊!),另外包括交通工具、貨幣、唐餐、茶樓文化、街頭小食等實用知識。這些內容能帶領孩子尋根,從多角度窺探香港的生活面貌,更能引導孩子思考香港與居住地的異同,使他們學習中文及粵語之時更有共鳴和歸屬感。
