從台灣東森新聞防範支語圖卡網上罵戰講起

最近台灣《東森新聞》一張「防範支語」圖卡惹來不少爭議。原因很簡單：圖卡把「地鐵、便利店、寄艙、電單車、菠蘿、士多啤梨、即食麵」等列為中國內地用語，但當中不少明明就是香港常見用語，有些更是很典型的港式講法，例如「士多啤梨」乃英語音譯詞。貼文後來雖然被刪除，但它引起的問題，反而值得我們認真看。「士多啤梨」定「草莓」我們留意這件事，不是因為想加入另一場網上罵戰，而是因為它再次說明：今天不少人一談語言，就很容易由「辨別詞語」變成「貼人標籤」。看見自己不熟悉的講法，第一時間不是問來源、看語境、查脈絡，而是先判它有問題。這種反應，在政治氣氛緊張的時候尤其常見。＜德國之聲＞〈「中國用語」是「支語警察」的假想敵〉一文就提到，部分人對「中國用語」的焦慮，已經不止是用字層面，而是跟文化和政治連在一起。不過，理解這種焦慮，不等於我們要照單全收。而對海外家長來說，這件事最值得留意的地方，是它正好映照出我們日常面對的教育現場。孩子在英語環境長大，本身接觸中文的機會已經有限；他們看短片、接觸朋友、聽回來的詞彙，來源少又雜。於是，「聽到甚麼就學甚麼」往往是常態。這也
